WHO WE ARE

Leadership and
Board of Directors

Oklahoma Needs More Disability Advocates at the Leadership Table

The Arc of Oklahoma is growing, and we are seeking dedicated leaders who are ready to help shape a more inclusive future for Oklahomans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

For almost 75 years, The Arc has been a leading voice for disability rights, educational access, family support, self-advocacy, and systems change. As we expand our impact across the state, we are actively recruiting volunteers, committee members, and future members of our Board of Directors.

We are particularly seeking individuals who bring professional expertise, lived experience, and diverse perspectives, including:

✔ Parents, family members, and caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages
✔ Special education teachers and education professionals
✔ Business and community leaders
✔ Human resource professionals
✔ Attorneys
✔ Bankers and financial professionals
✔ CPAs and accounting professionals
✔ Individuals representing rural communities and underserved regions of Oklahoma
✔ Self-advocates and individuals with lived disability experience

Strong organizations require strong leadership. The decisions made today will help determine whether people with disabilities have access to quality education, meaningful employment, community inclusion, safe housing, and the supports they need to thrive.

If you have ever wanted to make a lasting impact on your community, this is your opportunity.

Join us in building a future where every Oklahoman with a disability is valued, included, and empowered.
